The 2022, 2023, and 2024 National Defense Authorization Acts (NDAA) included provisions for the Pentagon regarding UAP. The UAP sections of the NDAAs can be downloaded here.
Established in July 2022 as mandated by the U.S. Congress with the passing of the 2022 NDAA, the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) is responsible for leading the U.S. government’s efforts to address Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP). The Advanced Aerospace Weapons Systems Application Program (AAWSAP), also called the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP), and the UAP Task Force were precursors to AARO. The AARO historical report provides more information about them.
This 2009 report was leaked via an article on 8newsnow.com. According to AATIP head Lue Elizondo, it is a report written "by the military; for the military."
